Race 11 Race 5:20pm IRT NEW ZEALAND TROTTING CUP (STAND PACE) (Gr1) $750,000, FFA, 3200m

Aussie visitor Swayzee (Rock N Roll Heaven) rolls to the front and can’t be headed as he takes out this years running of the New Zealand Trotting Cup. Akuta chases hard but can not pick up the winner and Beach Ball runs an honest third.

Race 10 4:47pm AVON CITY FORD TROT $30,000, 3YO & OLDER UP TO & INCLUDING R50, 2600m

Ken Barron produces another nice trotter as Create Time (Creatine) wins decisively in Race 9. What The Bell runs second and Sunny Louis Third.

Race 9 4:12pm WOODLANDS STUD SIRES STAKES FINAL (MOBILE PACE) (Gr1) $160,000, 2YO COLTS & GELDINGS, 1980m

A herculean effort from Chase A Dream (Captaintreacherous) sees him win the Group One $160,000 Woodlands Sires Stakes Final by the narrowest of margins in the hands of Olivia Thornley. The All Stars Stable gets the trifecta with We Walk By Faith running second and Major Hot filling the third position.

Race 8 3:37pm HORNBY LIQUOR CENTRE WORTHY QUEEN (HANDICAP TROT) (Gr3) $40,000, SPECIAL, 2000m

Love You gelding Love N The Port leads all the way in Race 8 to record a decisive victory for the Phil Williamson stable. Outsider Resolve runs home well for second and I Dream of Jeannie battles on well for third.

Race 7 3:02pm NEVELE R ’50 YEARS OF SUCCESS’ FINAL (MOBILE PACE) (Gr1) $140,000, 3YO FILLIES, 1980m

Champion filly Millwood Nike (Captaintreacherous) remains unbeaten winning her 16th race in a row after demolishing one of the best fillies fields seen on the Addington track in recent times.  Mark Purdon gets his third win in a row and has a good chance of making it four in Race 9

Race 6 2:30pm K B ELECTRICS MOBILE PACE $30,000, 3YO & OLDER R62 TO R70, 1980m

Mark Purdon goes back to back at Addington after Franco Indie (Always B Miki) swoops from midfield to wear down the leaders in Race 6 on Cup Day. Favourite Wag Star gets second and Sooner The Bettor runs third.

Race 5 1:56pm TAB JUNIOR FREE-FOR-ALL (MOBILE PACE) (Gr3) $40,000, 3YO & OLDER FFA, 2600m

Mark Purdon gets his first winner up for the day after Don’t Stop Dreaming (Bettor’s Delight) leads all the way in the Group 3 Junior Free For All. Cya Art sticks on well for second and third a further 8 lengths away was Merlin.

Race 4 1:26pm GARRARD’S PACE $30,000, 3YO & OLDER UP TO & INCLUDING R50, 2600m 

The upsets keep coming as despised outsider Kingsdown Atom (American Ideal) wins Race 4 paying $75.00 for John Morrison. Mandalay Bay holds second after an inquiry and Tempo Warrior sticks on for third.

Race 3 12:58pm MITRE 10 HANDICAP TROT $30,000, 3YO & OLDER R58 & FASTER DISCRETIONARY, 2600m

Top driver Blair Orange leads all the way with the Paul Nairn trained Outamyway (Love You) in Race 3. Unico Vacanza runs a bold second and Andy Hall sticks on for third.

Race 2 12:26pm HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE $30,000, 3YO & OLDER R51 TO R55, R56 WITH COND., 1980m

Punters are back on track as favourite Charlie Brown (Art Major) takes out Race 2 from a brave Fernetti.

Race 1 12:00pm SAUNDERS ROBINSON BROWN HANDICAP TROT $30,000, 3YO & OLDER R51 & FASTER DISCRETIONARY, 3200m

A big upset in the first race today when Cody Banner (Bettor’s Delight) looped the field on the last turn to record a big win at $41.00 and set up a $38,000 trifecta in the race.

Zsa Zoe ran a game second with a further 6 lengths back to Muscle Bank in third.
