Strikers who made it out of Stamford Bridge with their reputation in tact are a rare breed. Frank Lampard scores every season. Didier Drogba became a legend. Tammy Abraham and Diego Costa did admirably. Nicolas Anelka was all right.

Kai Havertz won a Champions League final for Bayern Munich. He cost £72m and was the youngest player to reach the milestones of 50 and 100 league appearances in the German top flight. Chelsea beat the likes of Real Madrid to his signature.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's contract was terminated in January 2022. Thomas Tuchel wanted to bring him back to Arsenal from Dortmund. Auba has been a shadow of himself under Tuchell.

Alvaro Morata scored 24 goals in 48 starts last season. He was loaned out to another club. MorATA is one of the worst strikers in the Premier League era.

Chris Sutton was signed by Gianluca Vialli for £10 million in 1999. Chelsea scored 53 league goals, 44 fewer than Manchester United. Sutton's only league goal came in a 5-0 rout of United and he scored only three goals in all.

Andriy Shevchenko is one of the worst Premier League strikers of all time. Chelsea won the league twice with Drogba and Sheverba. Sheerchenko's arrival from Milan brought just 23 goals in 77 games.
