Raptors vs Wizards Prediction

The Toronto Raptors and the Washington Wizards duke it out once again at the Capital One Arena on Saturday night.

The Toronto Raptors have been in great form as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall, but they will be looking for revenge in this one after falling short to the Wizards in a 119-108 road loss on Thursday. OG Anunoby led the team with 26 points on nine of 16 shooting, Jakob Poeltl added 23 points with 13 rebounds and four assists on eight of nine shooting, while Scottie Barnes and Fred VanVleet each scored 14 points. As a team, the Raptors shot 44 percent from the field and nine of 33 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Wizards’ starters in the first half and fell behind by 19 points as they just got next to no support from their reserves who combined for just 18 points.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in pretty good form as they’ve won six of their last nine games overall and they will be gunning for a third straight victory after beating the Raptors on Thursday. Kyle Kuzma led the team with 30 points and five assists, Kristaps Porzingis added 25 points on eight of 12 shooting while Daniel Gafford chipped in with 18 points on eight of 10 shooting. As a team, the Wizards shot 51 percent from the field and 14 of 30 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest early with 35 points in the second quarter and they didn’t take their foot off the gas in a game where they led by as many as 19 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Raptors are 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games and 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss of more than 10 points. The Wizards are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a losing record and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a win.

Head to head, the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall and the Raptors are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Washington.

The Raptors are again missing Otto Porter Jr and Dalano Banton is listed as day to day, while the Wizards will again be without Monte Morris. The Raptors were in great form before they got stopped in their tracks by the Wizards on Thursday, but they are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Washington and it’s always hard to beat the same team twice in a row. The Wizards are in some good form themselves and they are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a losing record, so I’ll back the Wizards to get another win at home.
