Brian Sabean has joined the New York Yankees front office as an executive advisor. Saben won multiple World Series titles with the San Francisco Giants in the 1980s and 1990s.

The team he is joining hasn't been to the World Series since 2009. The Giants won in 2010, 2012 and 2014 with Sabean heavily involved.

"I needed to be in a place that I could give back, be a mentor, contribute at any level at anytime and be an on-call doctor."

The New York Yankees have been close to winning the World Series in recent years but have always lost to the Houston Astros. This year they signed Carlos Rodon and brought back Aaron Judge.

Oddsmakers think the team has done a fine job in molding itself into a title contender. Houston Astros, New York Mets and Yankees are the best teams with the most odds. Los Angeles Dodgers are second, Atlanta Braves third and Philadelphia Phillies fourth.
