Lyles has an ERA of 6.84 this season, wallowing more than two home runs per nine innings and the rest of the Royals aren't much better. Kansas City is hitting .215 as a team since the start of June while the Reds are posting a .252 batting average, headlined by the youth movement around De La Cruz in the middle of the order.

The Reds have scored 55 runs in 12 games this month, the sixth highest mark in the bigs, while the Royals are futile at the plate, scoring only 26 runs in 10 games.
