Ricky Evans has gathered somewhat of a cult following in recent years, thanks to his weird and wonderful celebrations at the World Championships. "Rapid" has won his opening match of the tournament in each of the last three years, going down 4-0 to Michael Van Gerwen in both 2020 and '21, before losing 3-1 to Daryl Gurney 12 months ago.

Having shown some decent form earlier in the season, including a run to the Last 16 in the UK Open and a narrow defeat to Jim Williams in Players Championship 6, results have drifted badly for Rapid Ricky. Evans has won just five matches on the floor since July, and will enter the stage on Tuesday looking to end a run seven successive defeats.

Despite his struggles, the bookies make Ricky Evans the firm favourite to beat FALLON SHERROCK on Tuesday, so there's clearly plenty of value in backing Fallon to cause another Ally Pally upset.

Having finished behind Beau Greaves and Lisa Ashton on the Ladies Tour Order Of Merit, it seemed like Sherrock would be missing this year's World Championships. However, the PDC decided to open up an extra spot for women competitors to qualify for the Ally Pally and Sherrock was awarded that berth thanks to her victory in the Women's World Matchplay.

Sherrock reached the fourth-round on her World Championships debut in 2021, sensationally beating Ted Evetts and Mensur Suljovic before going down 4-2 to Chris Dobey. Fallon couldn't repeat that magic last year, losing 3-2 to Steve Beaton, she still averaged almost 90 in that high-quality encounter. We've seen how the Ally Pally brings the best out of Fallon Sherrock in the past and a similar performance to last year could be enough to see off an out-of-form Evans.
