Royal Ascot 2019: day four tips and best odds

Frankie Dettori won the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot on Thursday. Stradivarius won four-timer in the race.

Frankie's Friday rides are Last Surprise in the Albany Stakes (2.30 pm) and Private Secretary in King Edward VII Stake (3.05 pm). Ben Vrackie is second favourite for the Duke of Edinburgh Stages (5.35 pm), he's out of Group 1 winner Kinnaird. Twisted N' Shake is 10/1 to trouble market leader Hermosa.

Wesley Ward saddles Chili Petin and Nayibeth for the Albany Stakes. Daahyeh's debut win at Newmarket took a significant boost when runner-up Raffle Prize won the Queen Mary here on Wednesday. Moon Of Love was an unlucky third in the Hilary Needler at Beverley on debut. Galadriel was a hugely eye-catching Listed fourth at York on her debut having been detached early on. Celtic Beauty and Lil Grey are respected. Last Surprise and Silent Wave won on their first runs.

Circus Maximus won the St James' Palace Stakes on Tuesday. Japan will be tough to beat if he reproduces his form from Epsom. Private Secretary is feared most on the back of his Listed win at Goodwood last month. Pondus is an intriguing contender, taking a big jump in grade. Bangkok flopped in the Derby.

There is a small field for the Commonwealth Cup. Hello Youmzain could be the main danger. Khaadem is also of interest. Ten Sovereigns is 6/5 favourite.

Hermosa is the favourite for Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. Happen has been an improved filly in two 7f Group 3 races this season. Castle Lady won the French 1000 Guineas last time. Just Wonderful could be a surprise winner.

Lady Madison is the favourite for the Sandringham Stakes. Hotsy Totsy has plenty going for her too. Maamora is on a tempting mark if the ground doesn't scupper her.

Corgi and Baghdad are favourites for the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes. Arthurian Fame and Johnny Drama are also in the running. Spark Plug is an interesting outsider. Kasperenko is also a contender.
