Royal Ascot and Epsom Derby set for crowds of up to 10,000 when Covid-19 rules ease

Covid-19 restrictions on public attendance will be eased. Up to 10,000 people will have a quarter of the capacity allowed at some venues. Smaller stadiums will only be able to accommodate 4,00 people. The rules give hope that the two-day Epsom Derby meeting from June 4 and Royal Ascot from 15- 19 will attract a large crowd. However, plans come too late for the Cheltenham Festival in March.
