Royals vs. Yankees Odds and Prediction for Saturday, July 22

The New York Yankees escaped with a win against the Kansas City Royals on Friday night, and now they'll turn to their ace, Gerrit Cole, as they try to find some momentum to get back into the playoff picture.

Brady Singer (5.70) will get the start for the Royals, who have nothing left to play for but pride.

Let's dive into the odds for the game and then I'll give you my best bet.

There's no other way to bet on this game other than to take the Yankees to not only win, but to win with margin. Their offense may have finally found something yesterday, scoring five earned runs against the lowly Royals.

Today, their offense gets to face-off against Singer, who has had a rough 2023. Not only that, but he has allowed 20 hits and 10 earned runs in his last 13 innings pitched. New York should be licking its chops with a chance to build on its offensive momentum it found yesterday.

Then, of course, there's Gerrit Cole, who is once again a Cy Young candidate this season. The Yankees are 14-6 in his starts this season and Cole himself has a 9-2 record. He should have no problem dealing with an offense that ranks 28th in OPS (.644) over the last 30 days.

I'll take the Yankees on the run line tonight.
