San Diego Open 2022: Women's Singles draw analysis, preview and prediction

The inaugural edition of the 2022 San Diego Open will be held from October 10-16. World No. 1 Iga Swiatek leads a packed draw, which also features six of her fellow top 10 cohorts.

There are four seeded players in the San Diego Open 2022: Iga Swiatek, Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff and Daria Kasatkina.

Iga Swiatek is expected to play Jessica Pegula in the semifinals.

Iga Swiatek is in the semifinals of the Ostrava Open. Elena Rybakina and Garbine Muguruza will play each other in second round. Coco Gauff will start her San Diego Open challenge against a qualifier. Sofia Kenin will face Coco Vandeweghe in first round, while Daria Kasatkina will take on Leylah Fernandez.   The winner will probably face Madison Keys in quarterfinals.

Paula Badosa, Aryna Sabalenka, Maria Sakkari, and Caroline Garcia are the seeded players for the San Diego Open 2022.

Paula Badosa has lost in the second round at the US Open, Tokyo and Ostrava. Caroline Garcia and Danielle Collins are set for an exciting first-round showdown at San Diego Open. Aryna Sabalenka will play either Sloane Stephens or Veronika Kudermetova in second- round. Maria Sakkari and Karolina Pliskova will take on qualifiers in first round of the SanDiego Open before facing off against each other in 2nd round in case they make it to the last 8.
