Santiago leads home a 1-2-3-4 for Aidan O'Brien in the Irish Derby at the Curragh

Santiago won the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh. It was the 14th win for Aidan O'Brien in the Classic. He trained the first four horses to win the race. Santiago won last week's Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot. Seamie Heffernan rode him to victory for the fourth time. O’Brien has two other horses in training. Coolmore's MV Magnier is delighted for Seamus. The 47-year-old is riding very well. They have the second and the third horses. His jockey has been working in Ballydoyle for a long time and deserves it.

Joseph O'Brien's horse Numerian won the Alleged Stakes. Buckhurst won by a length and a half. Twilight Payment won Comer Group International Vintage Crop Stake. O’Brien is considering a Melbourne Cup trip for Twilight payment. The horse was a Ballydoyle inmate. The winner Sovereign was ridden by O',Brien. It was Sovereign's first start since his Classic victory. He finished third. There are transport restrictions on the horse. They could be eased by the end of the year.  The trainer is also considering travelling to Melbourne.
