Dream Central won a $125,000 stakes race at Saratoga Race Course on Wednesday. Eddie Fazzone owns Thoroughbreds and runs Eddie's seafood restaurant in Saratsog.
Barbara Livingston has a collection of negatives from Jim Raftery's archive of horse racing photographs. Jose Gomez won his first race at Saratoga on Friday. The opening weekend at the track attracted more people and bigger handles than in 2021. The New York Racing Association reports a 10% increase in paid opening-day attendance. It will be 103,254 in 2022. Gomez will lose his apprentice status on January 14, next year. He's been busy carving out some business at this track with the help of legendary Hall of Famer Angel Cordero, Jr. as his agent.
