Scone has huge numbers nominated for their big double header
Scone’s big two day carnival has massive numbers entered for both days with Big Dance Eligibility on the line in the Cup on Friday.
That Listed Scone Cup (1600m) includes the flying Banju ($8), Sunshine Rising ($8) off his excellent carnival group form and Luncies ($11) who could sprint well fresh.
On the Saturday there are all the quality metro horses running and the G3 Dark Jewel Classic for the mares will be a popular race for the punters.
Expat ($3.50) is getting close to a win for the new stable but she will have company from those who flash home like Written Beauty ($6), Never Talk ($8) and Frumos ($26).
Excellent Quality sprint races are also on show. The Listed Luskin Star (1300m) has produced Everest runners regularly in the past. Could it happen again with the likes of Waihaha Falls ($4.50) and Opal Ridge ($6) promising horses?
The Listed Ortensia Stakes (1100m) will be an open betting contest as fast horses like Malkovich ($4.50), Andermatt ($4.50) and Quantico ($8) who resumes here.
There is also the Listed Denise’s Joy Stakes (1100m) for the 3yo fillies and the Listed Woodland’s Stakes (1100m) for the 2yo fillies where Dipsy Doodle ($3.50) goes for a hatrick.
