Douglas Waugh Morgan played rugby for Melville College F.P's and Stewart's Melley's F P's. He was a talented cricketer for both Melvil and 'Stew-Mels' and played for Scotland at Lords against M.C. in 1968. Dougie was captain of the combined Edinburgh/Glasgow team against the All Blacks in 1972. His father George had also been a scrum half for the Melleys and Edinburgh. He is a single handicap golfer at the Royal Burgess. he won awards for swimming and athletics.
