Senate leader: ‘Prospects are pretty good’ for sports betting
Senate leader Phil Berger says the prospects are good for sports betting passing this session. Last year, North Carolina lawmakers narrowly failed to pass a bill legalizing wagers on professional sports. It's unclear where the tax revenue from mobile sports bets will be allocated. Christian Action League is against it. The Christian Association says gambling legalization will lead to broken promises, dreams and lives.
