The Keeneland Phoenix Stakes takes centre stage at The Curragh this Saturday with the Group 1 contest attracting seven of the best two-year-olds in training.

GAIN Railway Stakes winner Bucanero Fuerta will attempt to give Co Westmeath based trainer Adrian Murray the biggest success of his career when we renews rivalry with runner up Givemethebeatboys. Albany Stakes winner Porta Fortuna trained by Donnacha O’Brien is another leading challenger, while other contenders are His Majesty, Unquestionable, Gaenari and Launch.

Recent Jebel Ali Racecourse and Stables Dash winner Commanche Falls trained by Michael Dods returns to the Curragh and heads a high-quality field of eleven runners. The home trained team includes Moss Tucker, Go Athletico, Ana Syra and Shartash.

A Lilac Rolla, Opera Singer and Serious Notions are among the 13 entries for the ARC American Racing Channel EBF Race, while there are 16 runners in the Keeper’s Heart Irish and American Whiskey EBF Maiden, 19 in the Revamp Conservation and Restoration Handicap, 22 in the QuinnBet Handicap and 12 in the Sheehy Motors Skoda Handicap including Gordon Bennett and Prisoner’s Dilemma, while there are 14 runners in the opening Bord Na Mona Recycling Maiden including the Aidan O’Brien trained Diego Velazquez.
