Shaheen Hits The Racing Stars Hard

Popular racing expert and Hollywoodbets podcaster Shaheen Shaw is the latest daily winner after eight gruelling days of the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge Racing Stars competition.

On a difficult Turffontein card, Shaheen applied his unique brand of finding value winners, that included the Craig Zackey 200-1 double of Princess Ilaria and Bold Act, to beat his 38 opponents.

Graeme Hawkins got closest to Shaheen in second, with Peter Barker putting in his best performance in third.

Shaheen banks the R500 daily prize and told the Sporting Post the prize will come in ‘very handy’ after his recent Bangkok shopping expedition.

“Like all punters, I study form but have my quirks. Like Craig Zackey is my jockey. What a champion! When Craig wins, I win. Thanks to Hollywoodbets for a great initiative. They have united all of us – people working under different umbrellas, with one common cause – a passion for horseracing. The camaraderie is great and I’m looking forward to a tough 22 days ahead!”

Overall leader on the progressive log as Sunday’s weekly prize day approaches is 4Racing’s Neil Pretorius, who has produced some consistent performances to hold off dual winners in Winning Form’s James Rich and Gary Lemke.

There is R3 000 in prize money up for grabs in the weekly Racing Stars competition, with R2 500 going to the weekly winner with the most points, and R500 to the player with the most winners for that week

The new fun competition hosted within the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge platform for South Africa’s racing presenters, personalities, commentators and journalists pits the faces and voices of racing against each other, competing on every South African race meeting, covering KZN, Western Cape, Gauteng, and Eastern Cape.

The racing public are reminded that the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge is available on all local racemeetings, as well as Singapore and Hong Kong. Sha Tin is off at 06h30 on Sunday.

Hollywoodbets Scottsville starts at 12h00 on Sunday.

So there are plenty of chances to win big, and it’s free to enter and your chance to take on the professionals!
