Hollywoodbets to sponsor South Africa's premier classic Cape Guineas
Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas will be held at Kenilworth on 17 December 2022. The race is worth R2 million. It is South Africa's premier classic. Run at Milnerton for the first time in 1955, it has been a proud platform of champions and a stallion-maker over the decades. Modern day winners of the classic include champions of horse chestnut, Jet Master, Captain Al, Variety Club and Capetown Noir.
Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas is the richest classic race on the national calendar. The prize money has been increased by R2 million. The undercard includes two key supporting races: the R400 000 Grade 2 Hollywoodb bets Peninsula Handicap and the $250 000 R250000 Grade 3 Hollywood bets Victress Stakes.
Hollywoodbets will sponsor South Africa's premier classic Cape Guineas. The stakes have been increased to R2 million. Entries for the Grade 1 race open on 6 December 2022. The race will also feature the R200 000 Commonwealth Cup Plate and the R 200 000 Summer Coronation Plate. It will be Hollywoodbetts first Grade One feature day in the Cape.
