Silver Slugger 2022 finalists
The finalists for the American and National League Silver Slugger Awards were announced Thursday. The winners will be revealed on Thursday, Nov. 10, during a one-hour show on MLB Network at 6 p.m. ET. There are four voters from each of the 30 teams -- the manager and three coaches of their choice. They choose one player at each position, plus three outfielders. Votes are based on statistics and general impressions of players' offensive value. Vlad Jr. and Abreu are the last two AL Silver Slugs at first base. Altuve is probably the favorite to win his first award since 2018.
