The win saw Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side climb out of the bottom three and up into 14th place in the league table, just three points off the top half, but also only two clear of the relegation zone.
The teams have two wins apiece in the last five meetings between the sides, though the Gunners have won two of their last three games against the Saints, despite losing the most recent meeting 1-0 back in April.
