Sportradar pens six-year deal with United Soccer League

Sportradar has put pen to paper on a six-year deal with the United Soccer League (USL) to become the body’s official betting and technology partner.

Under the remit of the deal, Sportradar will now be able to collect, license and distribute USL’s official betting and media data.

The supplier will also be able to offer live streaming of USL competitions to its global network of partners.

The deal will cover more than 600 USL matches per year across three professional divisions within the structure.

The USL, which is deemed US soccer’s second-tier behind Major League Soccer, is made up of the USL Championship, USL League One, and USL League Two.

The deal with Sportradar will include access to the top two division, as well as the soon-to-launch USL Super League – the premier women’s soccer league.

Additionally, the USL will continue to use Sportradar’s integrity services, as that aspect of the pair’s relationship began back in 2019.

The negotiations between the pair were managed by Sportfive.

Eric Conrad, Sportradar EVP of strategic partnerships for US and Latam, said: “We are pleased to enter this partnership with North America’s largest professional soccer organization.

“Sportradar’s comprehensive products and solutions will enable USL to capitalize on opportunities across betting, media, and fan engagement, driving value for all stakeholders.

“This partnership strengthens our global portfolio of soccer rights, as we can leverage the data to develop highly innovative products and move up the value chain with our clients.”

Court Jeske, USL CCO, added: “The USL aims to be the most widely available league for fans both domestically and abroad.

“This partnership demonstrates a step forward in the betting and technology space for USL’s men’s and women’s professional leagues, and we are proud to grow with Sportradar – a leader in the business – as we have since 2018.”
