Sports Betting: PointsBet opens retail sportsbook in Maryland

PointsBet has launched a retail sportsbook at The Riverboat on the Potomac in Maryland. The sportsbooks will contain 21 high-definition screens, a bar with food and drink options, an exclusive lounge area, booth seats and a standing space.

PointsBet has opened a sportsbook in The Riverboat on the Potomac in Maryland. It is the first time in the state's history that a minority-owned business has gone live with legalized gaming.

The debut of the new sportsbook coincides with the beginning of NFL, NCAA Football, NBA, and NFL seasons. The sportsbooks are 100% owned by minority-owned businesses. Senator Arthur Ellis of Maryland is pleased with their work on the sports betting law.
