The 2023 St Leger Festival takes place in Doncaster this weekend, which includes the St Leger Stakes race, the final Classic of the season, on Saturday afternoon.

This weekend's festival contains the St Leger Stakes which is the world's oldest Classic and is the highlight of Doncaster's four-day festival which dominates the Flat racing calendar in September.
Last year's race was won by Eldar Eldarov, and this year's favourite is Gregory, who will be ridden by Frankie Dettori who will be looking to win his seventh Doncaster Classic.
The four-day festival kicks off on Thursday with Ladies' Day, which sees a pair of Group 2 races for fillies, while day two is dominated by the Doncaster Cup, which was won last year by Coltrane, who is also the favourite to win this year's race.
Day three, Saturday, is highlighted by the fifth and final Classic of the year, which is also the longest of all five and represents the final leg of the English Triple Crown and the Fillies' Triple Crown.
The final day of the festival is the Community Funday, with seven races taking place including the Leger Legends race which features some of the most famous jockeys from both Flat and jumps.
