Stakes Trio Promise Red-Hot Competition

Skyway Festival Day is held at Tampa Bay Downs on Saturday. There are 10 races scheduled, with the first race starting at 12:32 p.m. The Pasco Stakes is the sixth race on the card. It features Grade III stakes winner Champions Dream and Ontario-bred stakes winer Armstrong. Gasparilla is ninth race and brings together eight horses.

Jose Ferrer and Ronnie Allen, Jr., each rode two winners today. Ferrers won the fourth race on Got Em Thinking. Allen won first race, on Mambo Dancer, owned by James Canegata and trained by Maria Bowersock. On the ninth and final race Allen rode Vintner, a 7-year-old Florida-bred gelding owned and bred by Del Sol Farm and Gordon Bredeson.
