StaTuesday: Analyzing Packers WR Watson's sprint toward OROTY award Wisconsin News

Christian Watson is a candidate for NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Watson was drafted by the Packers in the 2022 NFL draft. He has caught five touchdowns since the start of this season. He is gaining ground on the league's other candidates to follow 2021 OROTY winner Ja’Marr Chase. The winner will be announced on December 6th. Wisconsin News.

Kenneth Walker III is the current favorite for the OROTY award. He has rushed for 512 yards and seven touchdowns on 96 carries. Walker has also made 19 catches for 116 yards. The Seattle Seahawks are in contention to make the playoffs. He is 20th in the NFL and second among rookies with 649 yards on the ground.

Garrett Wilson is a rookie receiver for the New York Jets. He has a receiving line of 57-790-4 in 12 games (seven starts) and is coming off an electric eight-catch, 162-yard performance in New Jersey's narrow defeat to the Minnesota Vikings. Wilson was drafted inside the top 15 last spring.

Christian Watson is a rookie sensation. He has been dominant since November 13. Watson has 15 catches for 313 yards and 7 touchdowns. The rookie has a 30% TD rate. He is tied with Demetri Goode for the rookie lead with nine touchdowns this season.

Chris Olave is the Saints' top receiver. He's catching 60 passes for 887 yards and has three touchdowns. Olaave's volume is more impressive than that of fellow Ohio State WR Watson. He also has 174 yards after the catch.

Dameon Pierce is a rookie running back for the Houston Texans. He's first among rookie RBs with 861 yards rushing and has gained the sixth-most yards after contact. Pierce has four touchdowns. He was drafted in the fourth round (No. 107 overall) of the 2022 NFL draft.

Brian Robinson Jr. was injured in August and missed the first four weeks of the season. He made his debut on October 9 and had a great game. His breakout game came in Week 12 against Atlanta. Robinson is a longshot to win the award, but he's worth watching. Kenny Pickett, Isiah Pacheco, George Pickens, Rachaad White and Alec Pierce are also in the top 10.
