Sunday’s NFL Week 7 lineup is filled with 11 exciting matchups. Two teams looking to shut up their doubters collide at 4:05 p.m. ET when the Pittsburgh Steelers pay a visit to the LA Rams at SoFi Stadium.

The Steelers improved to 3-1 in their last four games with a huge upset win over the rival Baltimore Ravens in Week 6. Meanwhile, the Rams are coming off a 26-9 win against the Arizona Cardinals that saw Sean McVay’s squad rack up 382 total yards from scrimmage.

Steelers vs Rams Prediction & Best Bet — NFL Week 7

The Steelers’ showed a lot of heart in their upset win over the Baltimore Ravens last week. Despite being down 10-0 in the second quarter, Pittsburgh never gave up as it battled back for the win, highlighted by a 14-0 run in the fourth quarter.

On one hand, Mike Tomlin’s team is getting some much-deserved attention due to a 3-1 record over the last four games. On the other hand, the Steelers are still far from perfect.

For instance, each of those victories only came by one possession, proving that the Steelers aren’t blowing out the competition. Secondly, it’s worth noting that they fell 30-6 to the Houston Texans in their last road game.

On top of that, Pittsburgh’s offense has left much to be desired, allowing the third-most scrimmage yards in the NFL. The majority of damage done to the Steelers has come through the air, where they’re allowing 302.5 passing yards per road game (3rd-most).

Unfortunately for the Steelers, the Rams’ aerial assault has begun coming together. Cooper Kupp is back from the injured reserve and has already racked up 266 receiving yards and a touchdown on 15 catches. LA also has the duo of Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell, who’ve combined for 75 receptions, 907 yards, and four TDs.

Rams QB Matthew Stafford has also found success against the Steelers in the past. He’s played Pittsburgh twice before and while his 50.5% completion rate in those contests wasn’t special, he did finish each out with at least 362 passing yards.

Speaking of trends, it’s worth noting that the Rams are 5-2 straight up in their last seven home games against the Steelers, outscoring the visitors by an average of 8.4 points.

Victory will also be tougher to achieve for the Steelers with the names they could potentially be missing. Their injury list is long and LB T.J. Watt, WR Diontae Johnson, and TE Pat Freiermuth are just three names who are questionable for Week 7.

At the end of the day, the Rams are in better shape at the moment and the home crowd’s support will help propel them to victory. The Steelers’ defensive play is concerning and will likely be exploited by Stafford, Kupp, & Co.

Prediction: Rams 27, Steelers 20

Bet: Rams -3 (-110 on BetOnline)

Steelers vs Rams Best Player Prop — NFL Week 7

After taking a look at the Steelers vs. Rams player prop markets, I can’t believe a Cooper Kupp anytime touchdown is available at even money.

Kupp has been an absolute touchdown-scoring machine, racking up 16 TDs in his last 17 games dating back to the 2021 NFL season, being held out of the end zone in three of those outings. Furthermore, he scored a TD in eight of 11 home games during that span.

The Steelers are a bottom-10 team when it comes to defending wideouts and have already allowed six TDs to the position (T-9th most). As long as Stafford keeps looking his way, a Kupp anytime TD is always a possibility.

  • The Steelers and Rams will collide on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023.
  • The Steelers and Rams will play each other at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
  • Kickoff for the upcoming PIT vs. LAR matchup is slated for 4:05 p.m. ET.
