Ryan Fox dominates the betting for the Hero Open at Fairmont St Andrews. He has been in superb form since February. Fox finished second three times in the Soudal Open, the Dutch Open and the Irish Open. His only previous Fairmond spin finished 34th.

Hurly Long is a good value punter. He won on the Challenge Tour in 2020 and is the Pebble Beach course-record holder. Long finished fourth in the Barbasol Championship and seventh in Barracuda.

Marcus Helligkilde is playing in his Fairmont debut at the Hero Open. He finished eighth in the Barbasol and 13th in Barracuda. Hellgikilde won three times on the Challenge Tour last year.

Brandon Stone is showing signs of improvement. Richie Ramsay won the Cazoo Classic. Scott Jamieson won a weather-shortened Nelson Mandela Championship in 2012. Lucas Bjerregaard struggled last year until finishing tenth at Fairmont. Daniel Hillier is an improving 24-year-old with a beautiful swing and effortless power. He won on the Challenge Tour last season. He finished 23rd in last years Hero Open.

Richie Ramsay is the Cazoo Classic champion. Grant Forrest is defending his title. Adrian Otaegui is a 2020 Scottish Championship winner at Fairmont. David Carey won the Open Final Qualifying event at the Fairmonst this year.

The European Tour introduced new tournaments in 2020. The one-off Scottish Championship will be held at Fairmont St Andrews. There is a prize money of €1.75m and a field of 150. Ryan Fox, Oliver Bekker, Takumi Kanaya, Marcus Helligkilde, Richie Ramsay, Adrian Otaegui, Lucas Bjerregaard and Grant Forrest are taking part. Last week Cazoo Classic was won by Richie Ramsey. Torrance Course at St. Andrews hosted an Open Final Qualifier in 2010, 2019 and this year.
