Saturday horse racing tips come from the only jump racing today at Doncaster, Kelso and Newbury.

Doncaster racing tips
1.30: Calico 7/4
Improved over fences by a distance this calendar year, winning a Class 3 by 12 lengths two starts ago.
And in a match with Jonbon only finished just over five lengths in the Grade 2 Kingmaker Novices’ Chase.
2.40: She’s A Saint 8/11
Consistently bumps into progressive types including the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle favourite at Cheltenham Festival Luccia back in November.
Might prefer a bit of rain but does go well on all ground based on her form and consistent second places.
She’s never finished out of the top two even in Listed or Grade 2 Hurdle contests and should find this test easier than previous tasks.
Kelso racing tips
1.50: Teddy Blue 15/2
The Morebattle Hurdle is a wide open contest and one of the highlights at Kelso with 16 runners confirmed.
All have their merits going into this over 2m with the likes of top-weight Colonel Mustard towards the top of the betting.
Collingham at the other end who won a Class 2 last time out is also interesting, only carried 9-1 at Musselburgh and retains the 10lb claimer Charlie Maggs on Saturday.
And Teddy Blue should make all for Gary Moore and 5lb claimer Caoilin Quinn who was on board his latest run in a Grade 3 at Newbury last month.
He ran well to finish third in a tough field and is given a chance by the handicapper down 3lb for Saturday.
Will be a popular runner and could shorten in price up to the off.
2.25: Accidental Rebel 14/1
Faces some unexposed opposition but was a Grade 2 winner at Chepstow in October and goes well fresh.
Has the winning mentality and has recently shown great form over hurdles reading 11121 since May 2022 when heading to Britain for the first time.
Goes up 10lb for that graded success but has been waited with and will be ready for this challenge under Paddy Brennan for trainer Fergal O’Brien.
Notably he finished ahead of Outlaw Peter who has gone on to win two himself.
Comes into this at 10/1 again which is certainly worth an each-way given he’s only conceding 5lb to the rest of the field.
3.00: Nells Son 13/2
The bet365 Handicap Hurdle is another that represents some place chances with the starting price around 10/3 for the ten-runner contest.
Nells Son briefly tried chasing at the start of the season but has been switched back to hurdles recently.
At Cheltenham in January came a respectable sixth place at 16/1 and looks likely to improve after a wind surgery in February.
Especially now back up in trip and was a great fourth place in a Grade 1 Hurdle at Aintree in the Mersey Novices’ Hurdle in April 2022.
Now looks a danger 4lb lower than that run and goes very well over hurdles.
Newbury racing tips
1.40: Cloth Cap and Mister Malarky exacta
These two don’t often feature in a Veterans’ Chase and that puts them as leading fancies in this.
Especially Cloth Cap who has gone way down in the weights, 1lb lower than his second last win which was back in November 2020 off a mark of 136 in a Grade 3.
Went has high as 156 but struggled since but doesn’t go for easy races, like the Grand National in 2022.
Pulled up in a Grade 3 last time but this veteran chase should be easier and if on song will surely be up there at the finish.
The same can be said for the top weight Mister Malarky who was denied by a neck to Musical Slave at Exeter last month.
The ten-year-old was well ahead of the rest of the field and should be tracking the leader this time out until the final couple of furlongs.
2.45: Zanza 4/1
Zanza is a leading choice but could be off to Kelso instead and won’t be up against the weight difference to Lord Baddesley or Gemirande who are given 26lb.
But should he head to Newbury he becomes the clear favourite given his superior record at this track became five wins from six last time out.
Beating Hitman by seven lengths and is sure to keep up that form against these rivals.
4.35: Neon Moon 9/4
This David Pipe-trained horse is really likable and was a great hurdler and is proving a handful over fences, but just hasn’t got off the mark yet.
The seven-year-old came close two starts ago though, placing half a length behind Dead Right at Taunton.
11 days later he followed that up with another second place in a huge step up in class, to a Grade 3 at Ascot, out of a field of 14 runners.
He was carrying just 10st then and is often reliant over these longer stints.
Will need to improve to fend off the likes of Flash Collonges which is a real possibility for a horse in form and could still be a way off finding his top mark, especially now heading back into a Novices’ Chase.
