TCU as College Football Playoff regular? Fiesta Bowl holds opportunity
TCU was picked to finish in the bottom half of the Big 12. Now the Horned Frogs are among the top four teams in Bowl Subdivision. They are playing in Fiesta Bowl against Big Ten champion Michigan. TCU's recruiting class ranks third in Big12 and first among longer-term members. The league's shakeup is expected to bring more American programs to the conference. Four American teams will join next season. The new 12-team format will be introduced. Clemson won the last two national championships under Dabo Swinney. It came via bowl wins against Ohio State and Oklahoma in 2013 and 2014.
