Teenager unleashed hail of punches before delivering devastating blow to rugby player in drunken pub brawl
Wynton King was seriously injured in a fight outside The Rockpool Bar on Hereford St on October 23. The 18-year-old admitted causing grievous bodily harm to King with intent to injure and assault with intention to hurt another man. He will be sentenced on April 14. A fundraising page for King's family has raised more than $30,000. King is still in the post-traumatic amnesia stage of his recovery. His name will not be released until at least sentencing. A judge asked for a pre-sentence report and for restorative justice assessment and conference to be held if possible.
