Texas Football: Early point spreads released for Alabama, Oklahoma

We’re roughly six months away from the start of the 2023 college football season.

With the 2023 recruiting class seemingly settled and many of the transfer portal’s biggest names already at their new schools, projections for the upcoming season are becoming clearer by the day.

FanDuel recently released early odds and point spreads for some of the biggest college football games on the 2023 schedule. Texas had two games of their own listed.

The Longhorns are favored to defeat their Big 12 rival, the Oklahoma Sooners, by four points. This seems realistic considering Texas’ 49-0 throttling of Oklahoma last season.

Steve Sarkisian’s squad is looking for revenge against Alabama in Tuscaloosa in Week 2. The Crimson Tide narrowly defeated the Longhorns 20-19 last season in Austin. FanDuel currently lists Alabama as the 8-point favorite.

These are the two most important games on Texas’ schedule for the upcoming season. Winning both could put the Longhorns in prime position to make a run at the Big 12 title.
