Texas team planning Group Three challenge after Classic run

Henri-Francois Devin's horse Texas finished second in the Poule d'Essai des Poulains at Paris Longchamp on Sunday. The horse was a rank outsider and was drawn in stall 15. Devin is planning to run Texas in Prix Paul de Moussac next. He is also thinking about the Breeders’ Cup Mile.  The trainer is based in France but has family roots in Ireland. His horses are not prioritised for overseas missions due to the valuable French breeders' premiums. They would like to try to win a Group Three in Europe. It is possible to do that in Paris. There is great prize money and the horse has got French premiums, so the owners would prefer to keep him in that country.
