Tarnawa the pick at the Arc

Tarnawa won last year's Breeders’ Cup Turf at Keeneland. She is favored to win the Prix de l”Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp this weekend. The weather is forecast to be wet in Paris this week. Tarnawas trainer, Dermot Weld, is in no hurry with the fillies.  An Arc victory comes with an automatic invitation to the Breeder‘s Cup on Nov. 6 at Del Mar. Futures bookmakers have made Tarawa a 4-1 co-favorite. Mishriff is skipping the Arc to race in next month's British Champion Stakes.

Tarnawa is the favorite at the Arc. Godolphin will supplement for $140,000 for Adayar, who won the King George this summer. Hurricane Lane won Grand Prix de Paris. Snowfall is expected to be supplemented by trainer Aidan O'Brien. Chrono Genesis is trying to end Japan's frustration with the race. It has been 13 years since Soumillon collected his second Arc victory. He got his first Arc win on Dalakhani. The Aga Khan team and His Highness are going to bring back another Arc trophy. They are also going for the Breeders’ Cup Turf.
