The day Liverpool made history at their 'second home' by beating Manchester United

Liverpool won the 2003 League Cup final in Cardiff. Gerard Houllier's side won a record seventh League cup under Kenny Dalglish. Steven Gerrard scored the opening goal in the game. Jerzy Dudek was the star player for Liverpool.   Alex Ferguson was critical of Dudeks performance. Liverpool won their toss to wear their red home kit. The team won 2-0. They have since added to the League Cups they won under Dalgslish and under Wenger. It was a cup final at the Millennium Stadium. In the years 2001-2006, the stadium was known as 'Anfield South'.
