The Racing Post's Peter Thomas named Racing Writer of the Year at Derby Awards

Peter Thomas was named Racing Writer of the Year at the 56th annual Derby Awards in London on Monday. Jonathan Harding was awarded Specialist Writer. Nick Luck won Broadcaster of The Year and Reporter of Year. David Davies was a first-time winner of Photographer ofThe Year, while Alan Crowhurst won Picture ofthe Year for the first time. Sir Mark Prescott was voted Flat trainer of. the year. Henry de Bromhead picked up the jump trainers' award for a second successive year, and Nick Henderson was given the George Ennor award. Megan Dent became the first photographer to land the prize this year and dedicated her award to those in racing who have gone out to help people in Ukraine.
