The Real Field of Dreams
Joe Louis beat James Braddock in the ring in 1937. Comiskey Park hosted a doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins on May 20th, 1973. The stadium hosted many famous events over the years. It hosted the likes of Sonny Liston, Floyd Paterson and Cassius Clay. A number of famous bands used Comikskey as their venue. The Beatles, Aerosmith, The Police, Simon and Garfunkel and the Jackson Five played there. For 90 years Comickey was the baseball stadium. Now it's no longer. it was demolished. in 2010. the last brick was chiseled from the center field bleachers wall.
