Ohtani is one of the most intriguing players to ever hit free agency. He produced 8.0 fWAR in his MVP season and 9.4 in 2022. The New York Post asked nine MLB agents for their predictions. They predict he will get $500 million for 13 years. Ohtani will break every contract record imaginable. The Angels, the Phillies, and the Padres are some competitors. Dodgers and Mets are also interested. Yankees will consider throwing their hat into the ring. Billy Eppler signed Ohtsani while he was L.A.’s general manager.

Shohei Ohtani is expected to get $400M-plus to $440M over 10 years. Mike Trout signed a 12-year, $426.5M deal.
