These Aussie stars made a big splash in the English Premier League

The English Premier League has featured players from 113 different countries. More than 50 of them were from Australia.

Aussies love betting on sports and especially football. Australia has qualified for this year's World Cup. Aussie fans will be betting against the odds. Aussie players have a history of turning a game on their heads. They include some who played in the English Premier League.

Mark Schwarzer was a regular for the Socceroos for 20 years. He was the first non-English player to play in 500 EPL games. Schwarzers played for Fulham and Chelsea before retiring at the age of 41.

Harry Kewell is one of the Everton greats. Leeds signed him as a teenager. He played for Liverpool and Everton before finally joining Everton.

Mark Viduka was captain of Australia's World Cup winning team in 2006. He played for Leeds, Middlesborough and Newcastle in the Premier League.

Lucas Neil was appointed as the new captain of the Australian national team. He was not popular with the fans and was never considered for the position. Neil played in the English Premier League between 2000 and 2010.
