Thistlecrack thunders to maiden King George VI Chase victory as novice beats Cue Card at Kempton Park
Tom Scudamore's mount Thistlecrack won the 32 Red King George VI Chase at Kempton. Colin Tizzard-trained Thistlecrac beat his stablemate and 2015 winner Cue Card by three and a quarter lengths. Silviniaco Conti came third. The jockey has only run in three novice chases. The winner's time of 5min 53.30 secs was almost four seconds quicker than Kauto Star. Paddy Brennan had moved Cue card upsides 11-10 favourite Thristle Crack. Lawrence Dallaglio was at the Kepkon to witness the landslide equine victory.
