Top NHL picks November 17: Bet on Jets to handle Ducks

Thursday's NHL slate offers bettors plenty of options.

Winnipeg Jets are one of the hottest teams in the league. Calgary Flames are not getting strong play between the pipes. Tampa Bay Lightning are backing to beat Calgary at home. Dallas Stars and Florida Panthers are expected to score a lot of goals.

Jets have won four of their last five games. They have the best high-danger chances for percentage (HFCF%) at 58.59% over the last two weeks. Connor Hellebuyck's .935 save percentage this season is second only to Boston Bruins netminder Linus Ullmark. Anaheim's defence is terrible and they're last in HDCF% at 36.57%.

Tampa Bay Lightning and Calgary Flames are both in the top 10 in HDCF% over the last two weeks. The Lightning have been a better team at home than on the road.

Stars and Panthers are playing a game with high-danger chances per 60. Florida is producing more high danger chances than any other team in hockey over the last two weeks. The Panthers allow the fourth most high risk chances.
