Toulouse vs Liverpool prediction, line-ups and odds for Europa League fixture

Liverpool will secure their place in the Europa League knockouts if they beat Toulouse on Thursday.

The Reds have achieved maximum points from Group E and another win puts them closer to being group winners. But, given their strong position, Jurgen Klopp may choose to rest a few bodies with games coming up thick and fast.

There is still frustration after the 1-1 draw with Luton Town and the game against Tolouse gives Klopp's charges the chance to return to winning ways. Liverpool thought they had lost against the division's strugglers at the weekend until Luis Diaz popped up with a late headed equaliser to spare their blushes.

Toulouse have won just one of their last six Ligue 1 matches and have lost their last two against Montpellier and Le Havre. They are neck-and-neck with Union SG for that elusive second knockout spot and a win at Anfield would put them in pole position.

Toulouse vs Liverpool lineups

Zakaria Aboukhlal is unlikely to make it back into action until after the international break as he struggles with a knee injury. Oliver Zanden and Denis Genreau could also be out until after the break.

Stijn Spierings is now available after missing the 5-1 loss at Anfield. He should slot into the midfield and provide a bit more of a defensive screen for the French outfit.

Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajetic are both long-term absentees. The former is unlikely to return to action until the new year as he struggles to overcome a hip injury.

Andrew Robertson is another player with a long recovery ahead of him. The Scottish injured his shoulder on international duty.

Predicted line-up: Restes; Desler, Diarra, Nicolaisen, Suazo; Sierro, Spierings, Casseres Jr; Donnum, Dallinga, Magri

Predicted line-up: Kelleher; Gomez, Matip, Quansah, Tsimikas; Elliott, Endo, Gravenberch; Doak, Gakpo, Diaz

Toulouse vs Liverpool prediction

Liverpool are practically in the knockout stages of the Europa League and that might be reflected in their display. A heavily rotated team may find it difficult to get the result.

However, Toulouse are in poor form so the Reds should have enough to get the job done. They have their bench to call upon if the result is in doubt.

Toulouse 1-2 Liverpool

Toulouse vs Liverpool odds

Bet365 have a Toulouse win at 11/2 with a draw at 17/4. Liverpool are favourites to win at 2/5.

Cody Gakpo should feature as part of a heavily changed Liverpool team. The Dutch attacker is in and out of the eleven but is capable of delivering when called upon and he comes in at 6/1 for the game's first goalscorer.
