Trainer Andrew Balding claims double triumph at Kempton ahead of Kameko's bid for Qipco 2,000 Guineas

Trainer Andrew Balding got a boost ahead of Kameko's bid for Saturday's Qipco 2,000 Guineas with a double at Kempton headed by Berlin Tango in the Classic Trial.

Balding, also successful with Never Dark with both winners ridden by David Probert, said: 'You never quite know when the season starts whether you've got the horses right but touch wood general fitness levels and wellbeing are good. 

'It's nice to get a couple of winners on the board.'

Berlin Tango is 25-1 for next month's Investec Derby. 

Balding added: 'He is a decent horse but was a bit raw last year. We will look at something at Royal Ascot for him first and then I will let owner George Strawbridge decide about the Derby.'

Unbeaten odds-on favourite Pinatubo heads the 15 final declarations for Qipco 2,000 Guineas.

Aidan O'Brien runs four - Arizona (Ryan Moore), Wichita (Frankie Dettori), Royal Dornoch (Tom Marquand) and New World Tapestry (Adam Kirby).
