Twins vs. Reds prediction: Stitches riding with Cincinnati

No, not the limited-edition pumpkin spice Twinkies.

I’m talking about the Minny Sponge Cakes who will soon clinch the AL Central, otherwise known as Comedy Central.

Bailey Ober beat the White Sox. It was Ober’s first win since July 19.

That was nine starts back and he’s allowed 23 runs over his last 33 innings.

The Twins are in Cincinnati.

The Reds have a similar record but they are locked in a wild-card fight to the finish with the Cubbies, Snakes, Fish and Giants.

Hunter Greene is 2-0 in his last three starts, limiting opposing bats to three runs over those 17 innings.

Don’t envision the overachieving Reds sneaking into the playoffs but I can see them and Greene winning here.

Betting on Baseball?

$50 on the Reds.

Meat the Mets.

They scored twice in the ninth inning to tie it. Jake Burger’s single off Trevor Gott won it for Miami.
