UAE Women, Men Crowned Asia Rugby U20 Sevens Champions

UAE Women and Men's teams won the Asia Rugby U20 Sevens tournament in Angren, Uzbekistan. UAE Women won 31-0 in the final, while the UAE Men won 34- 0 in their final match. The UAE had mixed results in both the pool round and the finals. Thailand had a good start to the tournament, but were beaten by India and Malaysia. Uzbekistani team also had some upsets, and were eventually beaten. Thailand also suffered a narrow defeat. They were defeated by Uzbek, 12-10. It was the first time that the team had lost a match in this tournament.
