UFC Odds and Picks

After a hot start in 2024, this weekend is a rarity without any fights to look forward to on the UFC schedule. For you sports bettors out there, let’s look at what some of the best UFC Fight Night futures you can bet on are right now.

A futures bet is any wager placed on an event that will occur sometime in the future. Traditional sports betting started with future bets for specific teams to win the championship in any major sports league at the end of the season. In the UFC, there are events almost every single weekend you can bet–with some sportsbooks opening lines weeks in advance.

Since there aren’t any fights to make your UFC predictions on this weekend, let’s dive into some key bets to make for the future UFC Fight Night events in February.

February UFC Fight Nights

On the road to the next big UFC PPV event, UFC 298, there are two “Fight Night” shows being held in Las Vegas in the weeks prior. UFC Fight Night events are events that are virtually the same as the numbered shows, but fans don’t need to pay a PPV fee to watch the main card.

The first is on February 3rd, being headlined by middleweights Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov–two elite fighters looking to break into the limelight in a division that seems to be on fire lately.

The second Fight Night event in February is on the 10th headlined by another pair of middleweights, Jack Hermansson and Joe Pyfer. This is a great matchup between a UFC veteran and an upcoming potential star with loads of potential.

Betting on these future events has the same process as betting on a fight coming up this weekend, but you don’t get the benefit of the UFC news being filled with headlines about these fights. You will have to do some more digging yourself to learn information on certain matchups.

Best UFC Futures Bets to Make

UFC Fight Night futures can be a fun way to make money on a fight before the lines start to shift due to potential news breaking, or being swayed by the public betting on one side more than the other. This is when a good bettor can catch oddsmakers making mistakes.

Dolidze vs. Imavov

In this February 3rd main event, these two are very high-level mixed martial artists who lack a name with a bunch of star power. True MMA fans will enjoy watching this fight. You can get Dolidze at +125 to beat Imavov at -155.

UFC betting lines can change as the fight gets closer so this might be the best value you get for a guy like Imavov. The official prediction for this main event is that Imavov will bounce back from two unfortunate performances in his last two bouts, including a loss to Sean Strickland, and get back to his winning ways. Taking him at -155 is a great value.

Another key fight to pick on that card is the co-main event between lightweights Renato Moicano and Drew Dober. Moicano is currently at -140 a couple of weeks out and this is an interesting line against a tough test like Dober.

Moicano hasn’t fought since November of 2022 when he stylishly beat Brad Riddell and gained a lot of hype–that hype has pretty much been worn off with the long layoff between fights. The potential ‘rust’ from being out of the octagon for so long will not do well when someone like Dober hits you in the mouth.

We are taking Dober to win at +110 right now and probably will take him to win by KO once the prop bets get released next week.

Hermansson vs. Pyfer

On February 10th, this middleweight main event is a massive opportunity for Pyfer to break into the rankings and grow his stardom in the sport. Pyfer is one of the more interesting prospects we have seen in the sport for a while and this is a great step up in competition.

In his previous UFC fights, Hermansson has lost the top-contender aura around him. He has become the headliner for small events in the UFC APEX and the gatekeeper to the top of the division. Also, he doesn’t put on the most fun-filled performances for casual fans.

We are taking Pyfer to win at -220. This is an early pick but it will most likely be the best value you see in this Pyfer line from this moment on. He is very skilled and has legit power in both hands–it’s rumored that he even beat Francis Ngannou’s punching power record on the impact machine at the UFC PI.

UFC Fight Night futures are a great way to look ahead on fights and make UFC picks on events before most people get a hold of them. BetUS usually has a great selection of futures and special in the UFC weeks, or even months ahead of the actual event.
