Unai Emery locks horns with Arsenal as Aston Villa challenge Gunners for shining Bundesliga attacker

Aston Villa are interested in signing a Bundesliga striker from Arsenal. Unai Emery was sacked as Arsenal manager in November 2019. He has since been in charge of Spanish club Villarreal. He helped them to win the Europa League final last May. They also reached the Champions League semi-finals last season. The team were knocked out by Liverpool.

Unai Emery is back in the Premier League after getting the Aston Villa job. Mikel Arteta wants to strengthen his attacking options and is hopeful of signing Marcus Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach. Thur am has scored 12 goals in 16 appearances this season.

Aston Villa and Arsenal are interested in signing Marcus Thuram. The Gladbach player is in fine form this season. He could be sold for less than £25m. Unai Emery and Daniel Farke want to keep him at Gladbbach. If he wants to play in Europe, he will have to choose between playing in the Premier League and playing for his former club, Arsenal.
