Unemployed former Premier League star, 28, watches Arsenal vs Man Utd after receiving transfer offer

FORMER Premier League star Anwar El Ghazi was at the Emirates to watch Arsenal’s win over Manchester United.

That’s after receiving a transfer offer to return to England’s top flight.

El Ghazi, 28, is a free agent after having his contract at PSV Eindhoven terminated.

The Dutch winger is best known by Premier League fans for a four-year stay at Aston Villa.

He netted 26 goals in 199 games for the Midlands club.

And El Ghazi’s Villa spell also saw him spend six months on loan at Everton, where he played just twice.

The ex-Ajax and Lille forward has since been back in Holland with PSV.

He netted nine times in 31 games last term.

And El Ghazi even featured twice for them in the new campaign.

However, all parties decided to mutually terminate his contract ahead of deadline day.

And Fabrizio Romano claims El Ghazi could now be heading back to the Premier League after receiving an offer from an English top flight club.

He also has contracts on the table from several Saudi sides.

But El Ghazi indicated his preference is to return to England after making the trip to watch Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Man Utd.

El Ghazi posed for a snap in front of the Emirates pitch before kick-off.

And should he return to the Premier League, he may end up gracing the pitch itself later in the season.
