Video emerges of Mathieu van der Poel hotel assault of teen girls

Mathieu van der Poel, 27, chased two girls into their hotel room after they played a prank on him. He was at the Novotel Brighton Resort, south of Sydney, on Saturday night. The girls knocked on his door multiple times and he chased them into the room. One of them suffered a carpet burn and a red mark. Van der poel was charged with assault. He had to return to his hotel at 4 a.m. because he had a race the next morning. It was a 267 km world championship race in Wollongong. His salary is $2 million a year.
