Wanna bet? A look at some of the favorites in the PGA Tour Barracuda Championship

The PGA Tour stop this week is over the state line in Truckee, but it's still possible to place a bet on the Barracuda Championship in Nevada casinos or online.

Here is a look at who the favorites are going into Thursday's first round at the Tahoe Mountain Club's Old Greenwood Golf Course, just outside the town of Truckee.

Mitchell, Jaeger are betting favorites

The Barracuda Championship betting odds list Keith Mitchell and Stephan Jaeger as the betting favorites at +1800 odds. Taylor Pendrith is next best at 20-to-1.

Jaeger has been in the top 13 in his last two starts.

Mitchell is the top-ranked player in the field at No. 62. A win this week is worth 300 points in the FedEx Cup standings.

Mark Hubbard is at 25-to-1, as is last week's winner in the Barbasol Championship, Vincent Norrman. The odds are mostly based on recent play.

Defending champion Chez Reavie, JJ Spaun and Patrick Rodgers are at 28-to-1.

Grayson Murray is 50-to-1 after finishing in the top seven in his last two starts and winning on the Korn Ferry Tour eight weeks ago.

Justin Suh, 26, has missed one cut since late October and is at +3500. He led the Korn Ferry Tour in points last year and tied for sixth in his pro debut at The Players Championship.

Sam Bennett, who made a run at The Masters in April, is listed at +3000. Bennett shot a 4-under-par opening round at the Masters and had the first bogey-free round there by an amateur in 30 years. He also became the first amateur to be in the top 10 after three rounds at Augusta National since 1964.

Bennett turned professional in May following the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship.

The Barracuda uses Modified Stableford scoring so golfers try to play more aggressively than usual to accumulate points.

A double eagle is worth eight points and an eagle is awarded five points. A birdie is worth two points. Players get zero points for pars, they lose one point for a bogey and they lose two points for a double bogey or worse.
