Warriors vs Lakers Prediction

The Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers duke it out at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night.

The Golden State Warriors have been on a roll as they are now gunning for a sixth straight victory after taking down the Pelicans in a 108-99 home win on Friday. Klay Thompson led the team with 27 points on 10 of 17 shooting, Jonathan Kuminga added 19 points with seven rebounds and four steals off the bench while Jordan Poole chipped in with 18 points and seven assists. As a team, the Warriors shot 51 percent from the field and 10 of 31 from the 3-point line as they struggled to make their open shots early and scored just 21 points in the first quarter to fall behind by 17 points, but they worked their way back into the contest and closed the final 4:27 on a 19-6 run to keep their win streak alive.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their last six games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back here after coming up short against the Timberwolves in a 110-102 loss on Friday. Anthony Davis tried his best to carry the team with 38 points on 12 of 22 shooting, Malik Beasley added 15 points while Lonnie Walker added 10 points, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Lakers shot just 41 percent from the field and 10 of 31 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Timberwolves in a really close contest until the third quarter where they cooled off to allow the Timberwolves to pull away. Austin Reaves scored just six points on two of nine shooting off the bench while Dennis Schroder scored just six points on three of 13 shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 0-4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall. The Lakers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a loss and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games playing on one days rest.

Head to head, the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall.

The Warriors are still shorthanded as Andrew Wiggins is still out, but the good news is that they are expecting to have Stephen Curry back in the lineup, while the Lakers are still missing LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell. The Warriors have caught fire once again and they will be bolstered by the return of their leader who will likely be on a minutes restriction, but the Lakers are just missing too much firepower with James and Russell both out. With that being said, I have the Warriors staying hot with another win and cover in this spot.
